Thunderbolt Pass Golf Course

H.G. Golf Properties was hired in January of 2009 by the Evansville-Vanderburgh Airport Authority to a five year management contract to run the former Hamilton Golf Course.  After running a name our golf course contest, Don Heavrin of Evansville, creatively tied in the P-47 Thunderbolt which was built in Evansville during WWII and came up with Thunderbolt Pass Golf Course. Thunderbolt Pass is currently undergoing many wonderful new changes thanks to the commitment of the Evansville Vanderburgh Airport Authority. These changes will dramatically change and enhance the experience for all golfers at Thunderbolt Pass Golf Course.

The clubhouse has gotten a brand new roof, a new HVAC system in the golf shop, a new modern paint schematic throughout the clubhouse, a new point of sale golf system, and new menu items available in the Snack Bar. In the coming weeks, the new carpet will be done, renovation to the restrooms, and 60 brand new state-of-the art Club Car Precedent golf cars will be on site. The golf course will also be undergoing many changes including irrigation improvements, turf grass programs that will enhance the turf quality, top-dressing programs to improve the green complexes, bunker renovation, and tee box renovation. The price to play golf at Thunderbolt Pass Golf Course will remain the same as it was in 2008, allowing every golfer the chance to play a quality golf course at an affordable price.
