Stonehenge Golf ClubThis private facility was rescued out of bankruptcy by H.G. Golf Properties and a few key investors in 1998. The 6,829 yard, par 71 championship golf course puts balanced play, precise shot-making and an aptitude for all facets of the game at a premium. Immaculately manicured bent grass tees, fairways, and greens plus the contrast of high grasses, waste bunkers, and mounds lend the course a distinctive Scottish flair. Multiple tee stations make Stonehenge both a special challenge for the accomplished player and a fair, enjoyable course for the average golfer. The 30,000 square foot clubhouse at Stonehenge has a professionally staffed grill room, formal dining room, lounge, private dining rooms and an outside verandah overlooking the 18th hole. It also boasts a fully stocked Pro Shop and locker rooms. Across the street are an Olympic size swimming pool (built in 1998), a halfway house snack shop and an outdoor pavilion. With a membership of 500+ and growing, Stonehenge is fast becoming the private club of choice. The club has hosted several state tournaments, including the 1991 and 2000 Indiana Open Championships, 1993 Indiana Amateur Tournament and 1999 National Women’s Western Junior Tournament. |
